"Tool" - Scream, Billy Loomis (2020)

𝖙𝖔𝖔𝖑;⁣

He’d spent 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 searching for it.⁣

Perfectly weighted. A smooth, black handle that fitted the form of his palm. A sleek curve that gave way to the sparkling, chrome blade. An edge sharp enough to slice through flesh like 𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧.⁣

This — this would work. One swipe, and he’d gut his prey, insides slopping onto the checkerboard linoleum floor in gory ribbons. Another, and he’d open her chest, expose her dying breaths to the tepid air of the kitchen. Perhaps a third would carve her throat, fatal gurgling splashing crimson across the countertops.⁣

Of course, he wouldn’t work alone. No, that would be 𝘴𝘶𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦. Too easy to pin a motive to a lone killer, too easy to trace and track and catch. Instead, he’d be accompanied by the gangly, clumsy fool of his affections — his tall, mousey-haired accomplice. An idiot, no doubt, but 𝐡𝐢𝐬 idiot. They had it planned meticulously, each twist and turn scripted with a ghoulish glee.⁣

Distraction, diversion, chase… and a 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘴𝘺𝘳𝘶𝘱.⁣

Oh sweet Sidney… She had 𝙣𝙤 idea of her 𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙯𝙯𝙡𝙮 𝙛𝙖𝙩𝙚.
