"Allowance" - MCU, Marvel, Venom (2020)

𝖆𝖑𝖑𝖔𝖜𝖆𝖓𝖈𝖊;⁣

//⁣ After months of resistance, letting him in felt like losing.⁣

Eddie sat at the foot of his bed, grey hoody sleeves pulled over his hands. His hazel eyes were ringed with dark circles, his complexion pale and clammy, his body showing multiple signs of failure. Beneath the sickly pallor laid failing organs; blood in his urine, thinning hair, days spent curled around the toilet, spewing stomach acid onto the porcelain. 𝐄𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐤.⁣

But, seemingly speaking to the dank walls of his apartment, Eddie’s gravelly voice addressed his hidden friend.⁣

“You win, buddy—“ A splutter punctuated his admission of defeat, “S’all yours.”⁣

There was no argument.⁣

Just a drastically hot, slick feeling that covered his entire body.⁣

The abruptness of the temperature change made him nauseous, but his stomach-twisting surprise was short-lived — if only, because something began moving 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘮.⁣

A gasp slipped from Eddie’s lips as the lining of his stomach seemed to shift and pulsate. Daring to direct hazel eyes downwards, he caught the startling vision that he’d feared —the skin of his core rippled, as if housing a horrifying, Lovecraftian beast. But there was little time to focus on the horror blooming within.⁣

All at once, the sides of his body screamed in agony. Bending reflexively and stifling a pained yelp, Eddie’s torso felt as though it were being torn and stretched, his stocky body being pulled apart to accommodate a being that simply did not fit. Every internal organ seemed to crumple and squeeze to make room for his new passenger and before the unwell brunette could catch his breath, something thick and wet invasively slid up his throat. With what little oxygen remained, Eddie choked shallow breaths around the oral intrusion, gagging as an acrid, toxic taste filled his mouth. Burning plastic, rotten meat, highway pollution —the taste spread across his tongue, between every tooth, a blackness licking at human tissue with it’s otherworldly, relentless consumption. By the time the parasite had settled inside his flesh, Eddie’s lips had turned a hypoxic shade of blue.⁣

“That’s better, 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙞𝙩, 𝙀𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙚?”
